Easy Bake: Chocolate Cake Pops

I've always been pretty scared to make cake pops, surely they're difficult to make, I mean round cake sounds hard to start with then the whole making them into lolly-pops too?! However I was wrong, very wrong these are so so so easy to make, I think I prefer making them to cupcakes, they stay nicer for longer too.

What you will need:
Cake pop mould
For the cake pops:
120g butter, softened (plus a little extra for greasing)
120g caster sugar
2 medium eggs
100g self raising flour
20g cocoa powder
To decorate:
150g cooking chocolate
Sprinkles

Grease the cake pop mould with butter (both sides)
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4

Put the butter and sugar into a bowl and cream together until light and fluffy

Add the eggs, one at a time, if it begins to curdle add a splash of milk

Sieve in the flour and fold into the mixture,

 Add in the coco powder.

Place into the mould, the side without the air holes, to fill to the top.
Cover with the other half of the mould and bake for 15-20 minutes.

Check if the cakes are done by placing a cocktail stick through the air hole,
it will come out clean when they are done.
Leave to cool in the mould, lid off, for 10 minutes.

Leave to cool completely then begin the decoration process.

Melt the cooking chocolate as directed on the packet.
Mine was to melt in a glass dish over boiling water on the hob.

Dip the cake pops into the chocolate and then into the sprinkles.

Leave the chocolate to set at room temp, stand the pops in cups.

You can also make snowball cakes and not use the cake pop sticks.
